Inner Voice Magazine - speaks about what people want to hear. In the last civic election Steve Chapman knocked on 30,000 doors. He spoke to 10,000 people. These are the things that they wanted to hear more about. Despite losing the election by a mere 146 votes, Steve Chapman is keeping his commitment to provide Ward 8 residents and business people with the information they need.Inner Voice Magazine - is delivered to 40,000 homes and businesses in the downtown and surrounding areas. This includes the Beltline Communities, Bankview, Cliff Bungalow, 17th Avenue SW, Mount Royal, Scarboro, South Calgary, Marda Loop, and Mission. This is a magazine that people will read, share, and talk about. In each issue we will spotlight the new and the old which make downtown living unique. In our next issue we will look at the historic Imperial Lofts on 11th Avenue and the enduring traditions of the warehouse district. We will look at some of the changes in the area with projects like Torode's Arriva coming on line in 2006 and the proposed Sky Tower.

We will
also look at changes to inner city traffic,
the parking challenges, and why our communities pay 2-5 times the tax rate of
our suburban neighbours. We all want to see Calgary prosper but City Hall's $100
million increase in tax spending over last year may end up hurting us in the
long run. Especially inner city residents and business owners.
